How To Initially Setup Your New NIACC Voice Mail
Dial 4041 from your Phone
When you hear “Hello Cisco Unity Messaging System” Press the * key
You will be asked to enter your ID
This is your extension number; for example 4045
You will be asked for your PIN
The system default is 8675309
You will be welcomed to the Cisco Unity Messaging system and then asked to record your name.
At the tone say your name and then press #.
The system will repeat your name and ask you to press # to keep the name or to record your name.
When you are satisfied, press the # key to keep your name.
You will be asked to record your personal greeting.
The system will give your standard message as “Sorry <your name> is unavailable”.
To record/change this greeting, press 1; to keep the greeting press #
Press 1 and you will be asked to record your greeting after the tone and then press #.
The system will play back the greeting and ask you to press 1 to record or # to keep the greeting.
When you are satisfied press the # key to save your greeting.
You will be asked to enter a PIN .
Enter a PIN and then press #.
The PIN must be at least 4 digits long.
The PIN must be all numbers.
The system keeps a history of the last 5 PIN’s you have used
You will be asked to enter your Pin Again to confirm it
You will be given the option to be listed in the directory
Press 1 to toggle this setting. We recommend that you leave your number listed in the directory.
